We are a local Hornsby laundry / laundromat / dry cleaner, made by locals for locals.
In February 2020 Susan and Val acquired the laundry business that was previously called Hornsby Eastside Laundrette & Drycleaners. After revamping the shop, updating the equipment and restructuring the business, HQ Laundry was born.
At HQ Laundry our mission is to improve the lives of our customers by helping them to manage and maintain their laundry, favourite clothes and fabrics. We take great pride in the quality of our service and our facilities. We like the idea of simplifying what for many people is a boring chore – doing the laundry.

Hi, we are Susan and Val, a local Hornsby couple who in early 2020 started a laundry business, right in the heart of Hornsby, NSW.
About Susan
“I am a first generation born Australian from Chinese parents and grew up on the Central Coast. I have lived in Hornsby since becoming an adult. After working in office jobs, I decided to start a business with my husband to be more involved with the local community. I love the Hornsby Shire and often recommend and love suggestions of new places to explore.”

About Val
“I came to Sydney in 2015 from Brazil to study English in Australia. I was so fascinated with Australia and decided to start a new life here. In Brazil I worked as an accountant, then in Sydney I worked as a tower crane operator. After meeting Susan, together we decided to have our own business.”

How HQ Laundry started
After deciding we wanted to work and build something together, an unexpected opportunity presented itself to us to buy Hornsby Eastside Laundrette & Drycleaners. We bought the business in February 2020, and have since rebranded to HQ Laundry Hornsby and we are constantly striving to make it better and to expand the communities we can service.
We are driven to provide the best laundry experience in the whole of Sydney! Together, we run the business personally from beginning to end.
